IIIT Bhubaneswar is established as a result of the desire of the Government of Orissa to create a world class Institute of higher learning in Information Technology. The institute offers following Faculty positions :

1. Professor  in the pay scale of Rs. 37400 – 67000 AGP Rs. 10000
2. Associate Professor  in the pay scale of  Rs. 37400 – 67000 Rs. 9000
3. Assistant Professor  in the pay scale of  Rs. 15600 – 39100 AGP Rs.8000
4. Assistant Professor  in the pay scale of  Rs. 15600 – 39100 AGP Rs.7000
5. Assistant Professor  in the pay scale of Rs. 15600 – 39100 AGP Rs. 6000
